For starter, applicants have to go through the Georgia basic law enforcement training course. This course is taken at several different police academies across the state of Georgia.

In Georgia, the total number of hours involved with police training is nearly 408. But once applicants are done with the intense and rigorous training, they can then begin the process of finding a permanent job at one of the many police agencies in the state of Georgia.

While most departments all have the same guidelines, some counties have the own set of training courses that’s separate from the usual courses that applicants must complete. But regardless of what courses you have to go through, we suggest visiting Prepare For The Police Academy for more in-depth guides about the training and police exams you will have to take for the state of Georgia.
